SALVADOR DA BAHIA, BRAZIL.
THIS is where I am going. THIS is where I am learning a new language. I've already fallen in love .... I mean, how could you not?
So, about a week ago I was accepted in to the study abroad program. Since then I've planned every detail from outfits and hairstyles to restaurants I'll eat at, trips to other parts of Brazil, words I'm going to use when I first meet people, etc. - I'm starting to feel.....prepared.
Salvador is going to teach me a new language. I mean, of course I'll learn Brazilian Portuguese, but I'm also learning the language of the Brazilian Culture. I am hoping to understand how history has shaped Salvador, and how the city's residents have grown accustomed to those changes. Sounds so educational, but I promise it'll be fun ;)
